Everything that exists is accompanied by a name. That is, it can be something. Many times, of course, we usually combine a company with a symbolic product for it, and vice versa. Based on this, before we started the famous, brainstorming, we wanted to find something that could proudly stand "on" our creations.
So we started from the end. What do we want this name to mean for the product, and for the business? This answer came very quickly as the decision to switch from home to professional brewing is an expression, through simple combinations of flavors that we like, in a bottle.
We knew that we wanted something that was easy to read and at the same time expressed the way we compose our recipes.
Following we thought of the foreign phrase "I am a". We liked this combination of words, thus it is the way one is self-introduced to someone, revieling his identity. These words, if joined together, iama, can be read as the greek word "ίαμα".
At this point we were already very happy with the way our name was finally found somewhere. The word "ίαμα", means medicine, and comes from the word "ίαση", the greek word cure. The same word that my name, Iason, also comes from.
The last combination of the name is related to the company's goal in terms of producing exclusively unfiltered beers. The presence and consumption of yeast, a living organism, has, with a particularly oxymoronic perspective, many beneficial properties for our body. So one could take it as "ίαμα".
Having come up with the name of the company, Logo came to unite all of them and promote them through a single design. This drawing depicts the name of the company, a hop flower, and a barley on a circle, which for presentable reasons, is cut.
Hops and barley are products that one can imagine and so they are easy to promote. The circle is a shape that symbolizes the combination of materials that give a product, which has its own distinct name depending on the species to which it belongs.
So one of our labels reads as: i am a 'Juicy Pale Ale'. A product that first introduces you and then tries to tell you its story!
